It felt like a country song. Or maybe a Hallmark movie. Driving down the dirt road and seeing farmland for miles on each side with farm houses dotting the countryside along the way. As soon as we saw it, we knew we would love this place! Turning into the long driveway, our little photographer hearts jumped for joy! We had visions of a bride and groom walking down the lane with the white split rail fence on one side, perfectly groomed trees on the other and the Rocky Mountains standing proudly behind Colorado’s pristine farmland.
From the tree lined drive to the 1926 brick farmhouse and beautiful red barn, Harmon Farms did not disappoint! Amii Harmon, who owns the farm along with her husband, Tom, came out to greet us and give us a tour. Earlier that day, Amii posted photos of the farm’s newborn goats on Instagram so of course we HAD to go see them immediately! We were also introduced to Nigerian goats, hogs (baby pigs will be here any day!), chickens, Zane Grey the steer and Tennessee, the horse. In addition to all of these fantastic animals, Harmon Farms grows flowers and keeps bees … fresh Colorado honey anyone?? Not to mention the Whiskey Shed, which will be completed soon!
The perfect red barn, complete with original wood, provides a gorgeous rustic backdrop for a chic barn wedding. The antique chandelier and cafe lights provide a little bit of extra class and ambiance. And, wedding pictures with horses, chickens and goats??? Yes please! This 18 acre farm has it all and we can hardly wait to come back!
THIS is the type of property we aspire to own!
